Eventbrite - Far Out // Opening ReceptionArt.Science.Gallery. announces the opening of Far Out, the gallery’s newest art exhibition in partnership with the American Astronomical Society and Women in Astronomy during their annual meetings in Austin, Texas. A mini, traveling version of the Art & Science 2017: James Webb Space Telescope exhibit currently on display at the Visitors Center at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, artwork in the Far Out exhibit was inspired by NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope.

Featuring artwork inspired by biodiversity by Ashley Cecil (Pittsburgh, PA), Jedidiah Dore (New York, NY), Clair Gaston (Round Rock, TX), Melanie Hickerson (Austin, TX), Kalliopi Monoyios (Denver, CO), Rene Robbins (Chicago, IL), Ele Willoughby (Toronto, ON).

The exhibit’s sister show, Life As We Knew It, explores extinct species and opens Friday, May 12th 7-10pm and runs May 13-14 + 20-21 11am-6pm as an official stop on the WEST Austin Studio Tour (see west.bigmedium.org for location). A Biodiversity in Your Backyard talk will be held Sat., May 13th at sundown at our WEST location.
